Forum: GratefulDead Subject: The Johnny Cash Project (non-dead)

Over 250,000 people from 172 countries participated in a project to construct Johnny Cash's final music video. The video consists of thousands of pictures of beautiful art, strung together to make a video, almost like a flip-book. Quite incredible to see. The video starts at 2:49. The intro explains the whole project. I wish I'd seen this earlier.

Thanks for posting this,it is just such a fantastic idea executed so well.Johnny's last batch of albums he did with Rick Rubin are just raw with emotion and energy and contain some of the most heart felt vocals ever recorded. This song, minus the religious context of the lyrics, is my favorite Cash performance.

Rick Rubin deserves all the credit, glory, etc. for what he and Cash created at the end of JC's life.

And I can't watch the video for "Hurt" without tearing up....
